July 27, the Victory Day of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War, is hailed in Korea as the second liberation day. At the initiative of the respected Kim Jong Un grand events will take place in Pyongyang to honor the V-Day. The Workers' Party of Korea and the People's Army and people of this country extend warm greetings to the heroic soldiers who brought V-Day by giving their blood-boiling youth and precious lives. The Fatherland Liberation War of the Korean people was a revolutionary war of justice that opened a new chapter in the new victorious history of anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle. The Korean people defended their country's sovereignty by crushing the U.S. imperialist forces of aggression, far superior to them in numbers and military technique. By their victory, the myth about the "mightiness" of U.S. imperialism was shattered in face of the world people and a new chapter was opened in the independent cause of mankind against imperialism. The victory in the war was a victory of President Kim Il Sung's great idea and leadership. Under his leadership the Korean people won victory in the three-year long war by displaying collectivism and mass heroism. The victorious history was added with new chapters by the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il. In this course our country became a military power and nuclear state and its army and people grew into a heroic army and people. The final victory is ours and the invincible history will go on. This is the conviction and will of our army and people. All the victories the Korean people gained in the history of anti imperialist struggle are the victories of idea and ideal. As Kim Jong Il said the independent stand represents justice and with this goes victory. This remains true both in the days of war and in the days of confrontation without gunfire. Ours was also a victory of outstanding strategy and tactics. The strategy and tactics were created by the President and inherited and developed by Kim Jong Il. They would provide us with invincible strength in our confrontation against imperialism. Now the U.S. imperialists seek to isolate the DPRK, employing all vicious means possible. But all that will turn out to be futile before the Juche-oriented warfare and tactics created by our great brilliant commanders. The indomitable mental power displayed by the Korean people was also a main factor for our victory in the war. The ever victorious history of war is being successfully inherited by the respected Kim Jong Un. He is the symbol of eternal victory of the Korean people; a peerless Songun commander. No one can ever match him in idea and leadership and moral virtues. The Korean people should successfully carry forward the victorious history of the war under his leadership. Many years have passed and generations changed but our target remains the same. The recent terrorism to destroy statues of the great men and monumental edifices showed well how desperately the enemies try to break down the pivot of our single-hearted unity. July 27 cannot always remain in history alone. The struggle to build a thriving country is accompanied with fierce class struggle. We should always be ready to fight a do-or-die battle against the U.S. and the south Korean puppets. Invincible history and tradition should be continued under the ever-victorious banner of Songun. |
