Marshal Kim Jong Un Looks Round Newly Built E-library in
KPA Exhibition of Arms and Equipment

 

The dear respected Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, looked round the newly built e-library in the Exhibition of Arms and Equipment of the Korean People's Army.

Marshal Kim Jong Un was greeted on the spot by officials of the exhibition.

His suites were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Kim Yong Il, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Phyong Hae, Mun Kyong Dok, Paek Se Bong, Han Kwang Sang, Han Kwang Bok, Pak Thae Song, Kim Pyong Ho and Ma Won Chun.

Kim Jong Un promoted the idea of building an e-library within the exhibition and assigned the honorable task to the People’s Army.

On the order of supreme commander, soldier builders finished the project in a short span of time.

The library covering an area of over 3 300 square meters has an e-book reading room, a book reading room, a reading hall, a special book reading room, a general lecture room and a symposium room.

Looking round several rooms of the e-library, Kim Jong Un learned in detail about the its construction and the library operation.

Saying that the design and building work was done in the highest possible level and all equipment was furnished to meet the scientific and technical requirements, he was very satisfied to see the modern e-library built just as required by the era of the knowledge-based economy.

Admiring the wonderful look of the e-library, he said every structure of the library seemed vaunting the warm sincerity of soldier builders.

He said that the Exhibition of Arms and Equipment and the e-library are indispensable in equipping the KPA with our unique strategy and tactics and decisively stepping up the military and technical preparation of the KPA as required by the special character of the modern war and the tense situation.

The Supreme Commander went round several halls of the exhibition and the open-air displays.

Looking with deep attention at every exhibit, he recollected the painstaking efforts of the great generalissimos who had put forward the arms buildup as the most important affairs in safeguarding the destiny of the country and nation and socialism and devoted all their energies to the development of the national defense industry to arm the KPA with modern arms and combat and technical equipment.

He emphasized the need to make much more ultramodern weapons and equipment capable of overpowering the enemies by upholding the military idea of our Party and channeling top-priority efforts into developing the national defense industry and steadily enhancing the modernization level of arms and combat and technical equipment of the KPA.

Enjoying the view of the exhibition from the newly built observation platform, he put forth perspective tasks for improving the management of the exhibition.
