Punish Those Who Deserve It

The Korean situation is very tense, now. No one can tell what is going to happen, the situation looking what it may be on the eve of war.

The Korean people want reconciliation, unity, peace and reunification, not confrontation and war.

The inter-Korean relations can be improved only when the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are implemented.

The dead lock in the inter-Korean relations was attributable to the policy against national reunification pursued all along by the south Korean conservative authorities.

Thanks to the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration the inter-Korean relations had developed favorably. But as soon as traitor Lee Myung Bak came to the power he came out against the north-south declarations, describing the ten years of sound growth of the inter-Korean relations as "lost ten years" and pursued only the policy of confrontation.

The present reality shows that the traitor Lee is the main culprit of wrecking the inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation.

The "presidential election" in south Korea is coming nearer. The presidential candidates now express their clear-cut opinions on the north-south declarations. Moreover, voices are growing higher in south Korea calling for sincere implementation of the declarations.

The presidential candidates, too, admit that the "policy toward the north" of the present "regime" has been a total failure and its revision is of vital necessity.

It is our consistent stand to improve relations between the two sides of Korea and achieve national reunification, peace and prosperity on the basis of the two declarations. We will not allow anyone opposing the implementation of the declarations and punish those who deserve it.
