From olden times Yaksandongdae is known as one of eight scenic spots in northwestern part of Korea due to its beautiful scenery.

Its scenery is beautiful in all seasons of year.

Among the most beautiful places of Yaksandongdae are Jeil Peak, Dongdae and Hakpyoru.

At Yaksan there are Chonju Temple and Soun Temple. The former was built in the period of the feudal Joson dynasty and the latter was built in the period of Koryo. Those show the creative wisdom and artistic talent of Korean ancestors.

There are also many historic places.

Thanks to the warm love of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il many scenic spots were built splendidly in a peculiar way to add beauty of Yaksandongdae.

Yaksandongdae will convey the benevolence of great leaders and the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un through generations, who ensured that everything on this land serves people.
