Keeping Precious Motherland Deep in Mind

It Is Work for My Children

Jong Sang Dok, head of the 3rd work-team of the Myongam Farm in Cholsan County, habitually says that he has a lot of children, who are soldiers defending the country. For several decades, he has formed connection with them on the way of assisting the army.

The work for children, this has the genuine meaning of his way for assisting the army.

He has dedicated his sincerity to soldiers with the mind of parents who deeply love their children.

He raises numerous animals in his house for soldiers.

One spring day, his wife intended to prepare a thick chicken soup for him as he was emaciated by hard labor of rice-transplanting. Then Jong Sang Dok stopped his wife saying that the shares of children would be reduced.

It is his habit to send aid materials to soldiers on holidays and anniversaries every year.

Following him, his work-team members are accustomed to rolling up their sleeves for assisting the army.

During the days of devotion to soldiers of the army, Jong Sang Dok had an honor of taking part in the celebrations of the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army and having a souvenir picture taken with the respected General Secretary.

People ask him whether it is not hard for him to grow many animals in his house while leading his work-team and he replies with a smile on his face that parents do not think that it is difficult for them to devote themselves to their children and his pride and worth is ever growing.

A Single Zeal for Repayment

Pak Kum Hyok, head of the Ryangchaek Workers’ District Office in Phihyon County, has devoted her all to assisting the army for over ten years.

It was 10-odd years ago when she, who was working at a farm, heard that our Party highly appreciated the merits of her father, a war veteran, which even the family members didn’t know well about.

The war veteran had passed away long before but our Party treasured his achievements and put him forward.

To repay the benevolence of the Party, Pak prepared aid materials and sent them to soldiers a few days later.

Her assistance to the army started thus.

Though she was busy with her work, she always thought of how to secure as many materials as possible for the soldiers and thought of domestic animals to be sent to them before worrying about her household affairs.

It became her habit to save even rare tonic materials for soldiers.

She sometimes felt deeply sorry for her husband and child.

However, her husband warmly understood her and sincerely supported her.

She still continues helping the army with all her family.

Pleasure and Worth of Life

Jong Sun Hui is the head of the transportation wortkteam of the Kyonghung County Automobile Station and Jong’s family is active in assisting the army.

Then what is the primary tradition of her family?

People can easily guess the answer to this question from the fact that she, along with her husband and son, were highly praised for their merits in contributing to the strengthening of the national defence capability, and so had a photo taken with the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

When she was little, her parents frequently taught her that the happiness of a family can be guaranteed only when the country is powerful.

Amid the busy time with their jobs, her parents always assisted the army before everything else, and such devotion of theirs made her determine to follow the way of assisting army as her parents did.

Jong’s son, who was awarded Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize, the greatest honor to Korean children, for the active assistance to army during his school days, now has an unforgettable memory for the days that all his family would secure aiding materials for soldiers till late at nights.

As for Jong’s family, assisting army is an aspect of life as well as great happiness and pleasure which can be compared with nothing.

Jong Sun Hui also leads other employees of the station to devote their sincerity to the work for contributing to strengthening the national defence capabilities.

She taught us about the genuine patriotism in her deeds, not words:

Assisting army is the way of patriotism which all the people on this land should follow generation after generation.
