As Sobaek Stream Flows Constantly
In winter in ２０１９, the respected General Secretary
Reaching the edge of the Sobaek Stream via the Headquarters log cabin in the Paektusan Secret Camp, he said to the accompanying commanding officers of the Korean People’s Army they had come to the stream for nothing if they were not going to soak their feet in water, and firstly he waded in the stream.
Looking up to the respected General Secretary, the officials were moved to tears.
But they could not understand the meaning of his noble intention.
He gazed at the Sobaek Stream for a moment and earnestly said:
As the Sobaek Stream flows constantly, so time passes continuously and generations of the revolution are being replaced. As the years go by and the Sobaek Stream flows constantly, so we should accomplish the revolution to the last through generations. We should maintain the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the revolutionary traditions of Paektu to the last and carry them forward, even though the land may change hundreds of times…
His instruction was, indeed, meaningful.
The indomitable strength of our people who are winning only victories in the face of manifold difficulties lies in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the revolutionary traditions of Paektu.
The officials were full of confidence that the ranks of indomitable revolutionaries and patriots who keep the great revolutionary spirit and revolutionary traditions generation after generation will always be as powerful and brave as the flow of the Sobaek Stream.
Important and Vital Issue
In those unforgettable days of horseback march in the revolutionary battle sites in Mt Paektu area, the respected General Secretary stressed that it is a strategic task facing our revolution at present to further intensify education in revolutionary traditions.
Now that the rising generations emerge as the main force, new issues arise from the global political structure and social and class relations, and the imperialists and class enemies make a more frantic attempt to undermine the ideological, revolutionary and class positions of our Party, we should always live and work in the offensive spirit of Paektu, he pointed out. He stated that to firmly arm oneself with the great idea and spirit which run through the revolutionary traditions of Paektu is an important and vital issue of giving continuity to the generation of revolution.

It is thanks to the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, everlasting mental wealth of our country, that our revolution advances unbendingly along the road of victory without the slightest deviation in the face of harsh trials of history.
Indeed, the precious instruction of the respected General Secretary teaches our people the precious truth that sure inheritance of the great revolutionary spirit is a significant matter for the victory of revolution.
