Once, the respected General Secretary inspected the typhoon-hit farms in South Hwanghae Province.
During the field guidance, he taught in earnest that a campaign should be launched to minimize typhoon damage to crops.
Then he said to a leading official of the Party Central Committee that the officials of the Party Central Committee should visit the typhoon-hit areas in the province with aid materials from the next day on to conduct political work and rehabilitation work at the same time.

Just one day before, he had called a senior official of the province on the phone to learn about the typhoon damage to the province and earnestly requested to go deeper among the people.

Driving A Tractor in Person
In August, ２０２３, the respected General Secretary inspected the Kumsong Tractor Factory.
The officials of the factory were filled with excitement as it was just two days after his field guidance at the seriously damaged Ansok Tideland.
The General Secretary paid special attention to ensuring the performance and quality of tractors.
When he went out after making rounds of the production process for a long time, he feasted his eyes on the newly-made tractors standing in array.
Then, he offered personally trying a tractor produced at the factory.
Presently, he started the tractor and drove it.
He stopped the tractor after a while and said that the transmission and steering gear of the new tractor became a lot smoother and more comfortable than those of its predecessor.
Then he taught in detail the ways to further improve the performance of the tractor.
Looking up to the General Secretary, who personally drove the tractor to find the shortcomings and rectify them in order to free the agricultural workers from labor-consuming work at an early date, the officials of the factory made up their minds to stand in the van of farm machine production in the new era of rural rejuvenation.
