What Is More Important Than Modernization of Equipment
Once, the respected General Secretary inspected a machine factory.
That day, he was so glad to see that the workers of the factory made eye-opening sci-tech successes in the course of developing up-to-date equipment.
Indicating the tasks facing the factory, the respected General Secretary emphasized that what is more important than the modernization of equipment is to bring up talents.
He noted that the factory should build up the ranks of technicians and skilled workers as well as the designing force and pay deep attention to providing the scientists and technicians with good conditions for research and living.
His instructions bore a noble intention that greater successes can be made when the training of sci-tech talents is placed before all other affairs.
The officials made up their minds to turn out a larger number of modern machines by channeling efforts into training talents as taught by the respected General Secretary.
The Issue He Underlined
One day in April, ２０１９, the respected General Secretary visited the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory.
At a production field, he made detailed inquiries as to the future orientation of production and the improvement of product quality.
The respected General Secretary said that they cannot produce products of good quality no matter how good the equipment may be if the technical and skill level of the employees handling it is poor.
That day, he stressed over and again the issue of raising the level of the employees’ techniques and skills and enabling them to produce quality products on their own.
The field guidance of the respected General Secretary was an important occasion which reminded the officials of the fact that production is guaranteed by not only modern equipment but also the working people equipped with the latest science and technology.
