Exhibition of Intangible Cultural Heritages to Be Held

The exhibition of intangible cultural heritages will be held in the autumn this year.

Recently we had a talk with Kim Pong Nam, head of a department of the Bureau for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.

Pressman: I think it is very important for keeping alive our national tradition to widely introduce and disseminate intangible cultural heritages in the society.

Kim Pong Nam: National cultural heritages and national tradition reflect eternity, superiority, noble spirit and peculiar aspects of life of our nation.

There are a hundred and scores of national and local intangible cultural heritages including folk song "Arirang" and the custom of making Kimchi in our country.

The intangible cultural heritages showing the outstanding wisdom of our nation are preserved well thanks to the policy of our Party and state on protecting the national heritage.

On display in history museums in different parts of the country are data on intangible cultural heritages and historic relics.

The Rangnang Museum which was built a few years ago shows true aspects of the Rangnang culture based on the culture of Ancient Korea.

Pressman: I’d like to hear about the exhibition of intangible cultural heritages to be held in the autumn.
