Rice-transplantation Progresses Apace in North Phyongan Province

In North Phyongan Province, officials, agricultural workers and volunteers engage themselves in rice-transplantation.

According to amassed data, the province overfulfills the daily plan by over １.２ times and rice-transplantation in the main area has exceeded the level of ７０% as of May ２８.

The provincial Party committee displayed hundreds of thousands of slogans, watchwords and posters to further rev up the masses’ enthusiasm.

Brisk agitprop activities are conducted to give full play to the masses’ patriotic enthusiasm.

In the meantime, the province further intensifies operation and control as the successes in rice-transplantation are augmented.

It took necessary measures to give precedence to drawing of water to paddy fields and harrowing.

It also directed big efforts to manufacturing hundreds of nutritive rice-transplanters now that the area under cultivation of nutritive cold-bed rice seedlings has increased to over ５０%.

As more and more units introduce greenhouse rice-seedling cultivation method, it organized a presentation in Kwaksan County and several necessary passing-on-techniques in a mobile way, strictly demanding the farms to keep the technical requirements in growing greenhouse rice seedlings.

Thanks to such dynamic efforts, the fields of the province are getting greener with every passing hour.
