Kelp Harvest Is in Full Swing

The kelp harvest is in full swing in the Sinchang Fishermen’s Cooperative in Pukchong County.

The officials of the cooperative set the goal for producing more kelp this significant year, marking the ８０th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and promoted the work for carrying it out.

The cooperative, on the basis of analyzing the temperature of sea waters off Sinchang, introduced the rational farming methods.

As a result, they have a guarantee for increasing more kelp per hectare than the before.

In addition, they put efforts into ensuring the safety of facilities so as to ensure the stable harvest.

In particular, they secured the plenty of good seeds for kelp last year, and on the basis of that, they made efforts to cultivate the kelp in a scientific way.

Now the officials and cultivators increase the use of boats and manage the facilities in a responsible manner, and make efforts to harvest the kelp in time.

The cooperative introduced the advanced cultivation methods and did up farms.
