Being informed that it was a sci-tech learning space, he instructed that they should operate it properly.
The officials looked back upon the day of his first visit to the factory.
At that time, he looked round the sci-tech learning space with only a few computers and taught to build it in a modern way and properly operate it.
He was paying deep attention to sci-tech dissemination work because it was important in training the officials and employees as masters of technical innovation.
After a short while, the respected General Secretary stressed the need to establish a system for learning science and technology and give priority to introducing new technologies.
Then, he gave detailed instructions concerning the issue of making it a policy for relevant units to establish and utilize a database with sci-tech data on development trend of the medical appliances industry and the issue of studying new technologies on a regular basis.
He took measures for supplying the data on the spot.
Indeed, the benevolent measures were aimed at letting the officials, technicians and workers broaden their horizons and vie with the world to produce up-to-date medical equipment and appliances, thus making actual contributions to the improvement of the people’s health.

Throwing his eyes to the scientists and technicians, the General Secretary gave the great trust that they are the strong core unit, pivotal force of our revolution.
Saying that the shortcut to building a powerful socialist country lies in attaching importance to and giving priority to science and technology, he noted what we should count on is the strength of science and technology and what we should rely on is the keen intelligence of scientists and technicians.
Looking up to the General Secretary who implanted again the sacred mission and duty of the scientists and technicians in them that should be standard-bearer in opening the shortcut to the powerful socialist country by dint of science and technology, the scientists made up their mind to achieve valuable scientific research successes simultaneously and continuously, keeping his great trust as their whole life.
On the Day of Visiting New House
One October day in ２０１４, the respected General Secretary visited the apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek University of Technology erected on the bank of River Taedong which seem like a sailing boat on the river.
Making the rounds of completed houses, he was so pleased that the splendid houses had been built for the teachers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology who greatly contributed to the development of science and technology.
When he dropped in at a sitting room, he, with pleasure, said that year was a year of scientists and he would be quite satisfactory when they led better civilized life.
His words reminded accompanying officials of the favors on the scientists bestowed by the Party.

After a while, he instructed that it was the Party’s determination to build the socialist power by dint of science and technology.

And he earnestly requested that the scientists should make strenuous efforts, always remembering the Party’s intention and will to build the people’s paradise by dint of science.
