Our Party’s Plan for Regional Development

Our Party’s plan for regional development is to ensure that the regional people not only enjoy a material life that is enjoyed by the citizens of the capital city but also lead a life in good health and without any worry in an environment that is as cultured and hygienic as in the capital city.

What is important in improving the people’s living standard is to successfully solve the food problem, the elementary problem of daily necessities.

Stabilizing and improving the people’s material and economic life is very important task for our Party which regards it as its mission to promote people’s wellbeing.

A substantial progress will be made in realizing the people’s ideals when there is no disparity of living standards between the capital city and provinces and between towns and the countryside and everyone enjoys material life without envy thanks to the policy of the Party and the state.

Now the agricultural sector has entered has entered a trajectory that is secure enough to keep a high and stable level of grain production and the rosy future of our rural community is being hastened.

And modern regional-industry factories were successfully built in ２０ cities and counties and the second year’s worthwhile struggle for implementing the Regional Development ２０×１０ Policy was launched to give confidence in rosier future to the local people.

The signs of backward and underdeveloped character of the regions can be found more largely in the sphere of cultural life than in that of material life.

It is impossible to guarantee the eternal prosperity of regions and fundamentally and permanently remove the urban-rural gaps without improvement of regional people’s cultural and knowledge level. And it is the ideal result of the regional development policy to put the whole country on an even cultural level.

Today our Party puts great efforts into the work for cities and counties of training their own forces able to lead economic and cultural development.

Socialist ideal villages and modern country cities befitting the prestige of powerful country are erected in cities and counties across the country and the work of remodeling city and county hospitals, construction of leisure complexes and other work for enlightening regional people are pushed ahead with.

Steadfast is the will of our Party to make anyone who is born on this land should lead a dignified and happy life under the benevolence of the socialist system, whether they live in the capital city or regions, in towns or mountain villages.
