Remodeling of Long-distance Belt Conveyor Successfully Concluded
The Komdok Mining Complex has face-lifted a long-distance belt conveyor to provide another guarantee for further increasing the productivity at a time when the drive for successfully fulfilling the five-year plan decided by the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea is going on.
True to the Party’s strategy for the maintenance and reinforcement, the project for remodeling the long-distance belt conveyor extending tens of ris from the underground face to the dressing plant situated in an area with high sea level was successfully concluded, thus getting into definite stride for increased production.
A few years ago, the respected General Secretary earnestly instructed the complex to consolidate its production foundation one by one and took a revolutionary step to realize it.
Keeping in mind his trust and expectation, workers of the complex have turned out in the work for maintaining and reinforcing the production base.
Thanks to the soaring spirit and strong struggle of the workers and technicians of the Komdok Mining Complex, the long-distance belt conveyor was rebuilt into a new appearance.
Now a great change has taken place in the transport of ore.
With the completion of the long-distance belt conveyor, the production cost for the transport of ore was reduced by one-third as against the last year.
