To Give Fullest Play to Mental Strength of Masses
Key to Production Growth
In July, 2018, the respected General Secretary
Being informed that Kangwon Province had remodeled the bag factory and put the production of schoolbags on a normal footing true to the noble intention of the Party, the respected General Secretary travelled a long way to the factory though he was busy with important affairs.
What the respected General Secretary put main stress on was the issue of arousing the masses’ mental strength.
When he dropped in at the sample room, he taught to improve the quality of the bags and stressed that they had to grasp the minds of employees, the masters of production, before solidifying the material and technical foundations of production.
He attached so much importance to the mental strength of the producer masses that he underlined the need to push forward with schoolbag production in the spirit and mettle of the 1970s when he stopped by the room dedicated to the history of the factory.
That day, the respected General Secretary looked round the factory for a long time and instructed that efforts should be concentrated on improving the quality of bags now that every province was provided with sufficient material and technical foundations capable of turning out hundreds of thousands of schoolbags.
Looking up to him, the officials realized that the key to production growth is in motivating the producer masses mentally.
Difference in Ideological Viewpoint and Standpoint
In November, 2014, the respected General Secretary inspected a fishery station of the Korean People’s Army which was distinguishing itself in fishing.
Holding the officials one by one by their hands, he highly appreciated their efforts.
Presently, he feasted his eyes on the large piles of fishes heaped up at the pier, saying that, nowadays, he was so delighted to hear that lots of fishes were caught in the fishing sector of the KPA that he could hardly get to sleep.
He noted with satisfaction that the parents of the soldiers at the national defence posts would be so glad if they heard the news about such rich fish hauls.
That day, the respected General Secretary told that he highly appreciated the officials and employees of the fishery station not just because their fish hauls were good but more importantly because they were possessed of an incomparably high zeal for carrying out at any cost the Party’s fishery policy.
Then, he instructed that the numerical gap between fishing results of stations had to be regarded as the difference in their ideological viewpoint and standpoint on the Party’s fishery policy.
That day, he emphasized that success in all undertakings is guaranteed by the full motivation of the masses’ spiritual strength.
This story still teaches us that whether we thoroughly implement the Party policies or not hinges on the ideological viewpoint and standpoint of the people on them.
