After the war, not a few defects were being revealed in our Party ideological work.
At that time, the factionalists who had been lurking in our Party desperately tried to implant flunkeyism, dogmatism and formalism into the Party ideological work.
If such defects had been left as they were, the people would have been degenerated ideologically and in the end they would have spoiled the revolution.
With deep insight into the truth, President
The first conference of ideological workers of the Workers’ Party of Korea took place under the guidance of the President in December １９５５.
At the conference the President made a historic speech "On Eliminating Dogmatism and Formalism and Establishing Juche in Ideological Work".
His important speech touched the hearts of the participants in the conference.
That day, the President comprehensively indicated detailed tasks for establishing Juche in the Party ideological work such as the issue of studying and widely propagating the history of our country and our people’s struggle, the issue of creatively applying other countries' good experience to our country in keeping with our country’s specific conditions and our national characters, the issue of overcoming formalism in the information work, etc.
Indeed, the President’s meaningful instructions given that day were the undying guideline which enabled the WPK to thoroughly establish Juche in the Party ideological work and develop all the sectors of the revolution and construction as required by the Juche idea.
The first conference of ideological workers of the WPK provided an epochal milestone in strengthening our Party into the invincible revolutionary Party surely inheriting its original ideals.
And the fierce struggle was waged to thoroughly overcome flunkeyism, dogmatism and formalism in all sectors of the revolution and construction and a radical turn was brought about in our people’s struggle for socialist construction.
Once, impressively recollecting those days the President said that in １９５５ our Party set forth the decisive policy on establishing Juche and has continued the ideological struggle for implementing it and the year １９５５ marked a turning point in our Party’s struggle.
Like this the President strengthened our Party into the ever-victorious guide by thoroughly establishing Juche in the Party ideological work and brought up our people to be the reliable performers and masters of the revolution. His immortal revolutionary exploits are shining with the ８０-year-long glorious history of our Party.
