Highly Appreciating Their Efforts
The respected General Secretary
The following happened one day in September, ２０１２, when the respected General Secretary inspected a fitness center before completion.
He made rounds of the fitness center and dropped in at the fitness exercise room on the third floor.
He praised in delight that the room was done up nicely, the height of the ceiling was appropriate and that the sporting apparatuses were arranged properly.
He looked around the room for a moment with satisfaction and warmly thanked the officials for their efforts devoted to the good of the people.
The officials were wrapped in excitement.
The respected General Secretary initiated the construction of an up-to-date fitness center in order to promote the people’s health and led the construction to successful completion with attentive care.
However, he highly appreciated the efforts of the officials, so glad that another asset for the people was created.
The story still tells the officials that they can become genuine leading members of revolution desired by the respected General Secretary when they do things to make the people happy.
Newly-installed Soft-drink Stand
Once, the respected General Secretary inspected a base for cultural and leisure activities under construction.
He stopped by the hall on the second floor.
Looking around the hall, he asked what it was for.
Being answered that it was the science exhibition hall, the respected General Secretary asked in return what was to be placed there.
The official replied that fish specimens and others were to be displayed there.
The respected General Secretary said that people would love it if they could have soft drinks there.
Actually, the officials had planned to locate the soft-drink stand on the first floor when designing the building. But if so, the people coming out to the hall on the second floor for a rest had to go through the long hallway and down the stairs to the first floor if they wanted to have soft drinks.
The officials felt embarrassed after noticing the shortcomings of the design.
Looking at the officials, the respected General Secretary warmly taught them to place soft-drink stands in the halls on the first and second floors so that people could have water or simple beverages during the break.
Under the warm care of the respected General Secretary who gives top priority to the people’s convenience and interests and regards them as absolute, a soft-drink stand was newly arranged on the second floor of this base for cultural and leisure activities.
