Sonjo Rock, Singular Rock of Mt Kumgang

Amid the distinct beauty spots of Mt Kumgang is Sonjo Rock situated in the Sea Kumgang area.

The rock is a granite one on a small hill which is ５ to ６ meters tall and ４ to ５ meters wide.

It looks like a ladle which has been put upside-down or like a gourd that has been turned over.

In some respect, it resembles a jellyfish in the sea.

The top of the rock is round but it has a lot of holes in it which are different from each other in depth, diameter and shape.

It is too difficult to believe that it has been formed naturally.

With lots of other fantastic rocks, it adds much to the beautiful scenery of Mt Kumgang.
