Apple and Pear Show Held

A show of apples and pears took place at the Food Festival House in Ryomyong Street of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on October ２９.

Presented to the show for public evaluation were apples and pears of various species produced at the fruit production units across the country, including Pukchong, Kwail and Onchon counties.

The show was held in the way of evaluating sweetness, sourness, wetness and aroma of apples and pears of various strains on display by the jury consisting of ordinary persons.

Highly appreciated were the fruits produced by Pukchong and Kwail counties, the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm, the Toksong Apple Farm and the Onchon, Myonggan, Songhan and Anak fruit farms.
