Educational Aid Program Centers Were Built in Various Parts of Country

True to the decisions of the twelfth plenary meeting of the eighth Party Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, many provinces (municipalities) have erected educational aid program centers in a short span of time so as to run national educational information system which includes all educational institutions of the capital city, provinces, cities, counties and ris.

Upholding the Party’s idea of attaching importance to education, Pyongyang and Nampho municipalities and Kangwon, Jagang and South Hamgyong provinces and other regions pushed ahead with the work for building up educational aid program centers which are of great importance in putting the education on an IT and modern footing.

Party and power organs of relevant regions formed powerful construction forces and provided necessary materials in the wake of completing miniatures and designs of educational aid program centers and thereby successfully concluded the construction in just two months.

They also provided up-to-date information equipment and furnishings needed for the operation of educational aid program centers and built up the ranks of talents who would take charge of the work for putting education of relevant regions on an IT basis.

The Central Education Information Center worked out functions of educational aid program centers of relevant regions correctly and intensified technical guidance.

The educational aid program center is an educational and scientific research unit which exercises the function of developing the educational aid programs and collecting, classifying, storing and disseminating information and programs. It also undertakes the work of putting education of relevant region on an IT basis.

The educational aid program centers are of great significance in raising the national education onto the advanced level by actively running newly-developed national educational information system and further perfecting it.
