On Road of Devotion to Rising Generation

Helipad at Okryu Children’s Hospital

One July day in 2013, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Okryu Children’s Hospital under construction.

That day he took every measure for installing equipment, saying that he would personally take charge of equipping the hospital with up-to-date equipment. Then he asked an official if they had taken account of arranging a helipad there.

Helipad?!

It was such an unexpected question that the official couldn’t say anything.

As other officials were all surprised, he gave detailed instructions about arranging a helipad at the hospital, saying that major hospitals such as the Okryu Children’s Hospital should have a helipad so as to admit emergency cases.

Keeping his words deep in their minds, the officials were wrapped in emotion.

In the past, when there were serious cases that couldn’t get treated in local-level hospitals, central-level hospitals used to dispatch a helicopter carrying able medical staffs while making ambulances stand by in an airport to take those patients to the hospitals.

However, the respected General Secretary, for precious lives of our children, took such a benevolent measure of transporting patients direct to the hospital.

Looking up to him, the officials keenly felt that the children of our country who lead a happy life under the warm love and care of the respected General Secretary who loves and values the rising generation the most are the happiest in the world.

Story about Gymnasium

Once the respected General Secretary inspected the newly-built Pyongyang International Football School, a base of training reserve football players of the country.

He gave precious instructions going round the school lest students felt any inconveniences in their study and life and headed for the quadrangle of the school.

The school had been using that quadrangle as a place for holding several meetings including ceremonies of the Children’s Union and morning exercises.

After a while, he said that it would be better to turn the quadrangle into a gymnasium.

The officials couldn’t readily answer him.

Because there were already several playgrounds covered with synthetic grass in the school and thereby they couldn’t apprehend his intention.

He taught that just roofing it could turn it into a gymnasium as it was already enclosed by buildings.

That moment, the officials felt the deep love of the respected General Secretary who is working heart and soul for providing our children, the future of the country, with the best things.

That day the officials made a firm resolution to discharge their responsibilities and duties in the work for training our children into talents who would shoulder the future of the country as intended by the respected General Secretary, cherishing his noble outlook on the rising generation.
