The State Academy of Sciences newly developed technology of producing reduced iron and synthetic fuel through the gasification of coal on their own.

The development of this innovative technology solely based on our own wisdom and strength provides another precious sci-tech guarantee conducive to strengthening the independent character of the national economy and developing the country’s economic infrastructure.

At the national scientific and technological reviews, held in September and October last, the technology of producing reduced iron and synthetic fuel through gasification of coal was proved to be advantageous and highly effective.

The State Science and Technology Commission, ministries of metal industry and chemical industry and other relevant sectors unanimously commented that the newly-developed technologies are conducive to solving problems of steel and fuel by relying on our own technology and resources.

Now, the State Academy of Sciences steps up the technical preparations for introducing the technologies of producing reduced iron and synthetic fuel through gasification of coal to the sector of chemical industry.
