Officials Conduct First Friday Labour in DPRK

Officials of ministries and national agencies in the DPRK did the first Friday labour of the new year at farms in Pyongyang on January ９.

They held a kick-off meeting at Kim Il Sung Square and left for farms with trucks carrying lots of manure and farm materials.

Officials of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office, the Cabinet Secretariat, the Agricultural Commission and the Central Committee of the youth league handed over various farm implements and materials to the Kumchon Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District and helped farmers in their work.

Officials of the Central Bank, the Minju Joson, the Workers’ Party of Korea Publishing House, the Art and Literature Publishing House and other units carpeted farm fields with large quantities of manure in a competitive atmosphere.

Those of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of IT Industry, the Ministry of External Economic Relations and other units encouraged the officials and workers of the agricultural production shop under the Central Zoo.
