Touching Stories about Socialist System
New Branch School in Mountain Village
Far from the seat of Songphyong-ri, Tongchang County is a small village where tens of families reside.
One last October day, early in the morning several houses in the village resounded with joyful voices of children and their parents.
It was several months before when officials of the county visited the village. After looking round the branch school, they held a consultative meeting with the issue of renovating the old branch school.
From the next day on, the construction of new branch school was conducted on a full scale.
Busy as they were, the officials devoted their efforts to the construction.
Thanks to their sincerity and devotion, a new branch school could be wonderfully built and the first lessons were to be given there.
That day the villagers went round the branch school with their children.
They keenly felt again gratitude to our socialist system which spares nothing for the posterity.
Even on Ordinary Day
A few days ago we visited the family of Pak Tuk Su, a war veteran living in Neighborhood No.20 of Jungdok-dong, Phyongsong City.
The veteran’s house was enlivened as never before, though it was an ordinary day.
Security officers of the South Phyongan Provincial Security Bureau including Kwak Chol Yong who had been taking care of war veterans’ and disabled soldiers’ families in the city with kindred affection for several years called on the veteran’s house again.
The war veteran said that he felt grateful to the socialist system which puts forward war veterans as the country’s treasure.
It was such meaningful words that make us realize once again the noble moral ethics pervading our society.
Indelible Birthday He Spent
On January 20, Kim Ho Yong significantly marked his birthday at the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex amid blessings of many people.
He was an employee of the complex who had volunteered to work there last year.
On his birthday, officials and employees of the complex prepared a birthday spread with sincerity for him.
Looking at the spread, he recalled the unforgettable days in the past since he came to the complex.
Whenever he felt tired and exhausted, they took warm care of him lest he should feel any inconvenience in life and encouraged him to do his work well.
Thanks to such sincerity of the collective, all the volunteers including Kim could grow up to be full-fledged masters of the complex.
Kim hardened his will to glorify his youth at the worthwhile workplace for the improvement of people’s living true to the Party’s intention.
One Family
An Ul Duk, a centenarian living in Oryu-dong, Songrim City, has a large family - her son and daughter, daughter-in-law, grandson, granddaughter, great-grandson and so on…
However, that’s not all of her family.
She was visited by officials of the dong office on the morning of one holiday.
They had visited her house with officials of the city Party committee on the very first day of the new year before anyone else.
And they again came to see her to inquire after her health.
The officials told her that they were like her family and it was their bounden duty to frequent her.
Then there was a knocking at the door; her doctor in charge and neighbours called on her to check her health condition.
That day, An’s house was crowded with lots of people who came to see her with kindred affection.
Looking at those people who took warm care of her health and life, the woman centenarian and her family members were full of gratitude to our socialist system where all the people are members of one large family.
