Rich Scallop Harvest at Sinpho City Offshore Farm

The harvest of scallops of superior breeds is at its height at the Sinpho City Offshore Farm, which was built as a model of offshore farming.

According to the officials there, more scallops than anticipated are likely to be harvested per hectare.

This is a proud fruit of our Party’s wise guidance as to letting maritime cities and counties make the best of their marine resources, thus creating a model for regional development.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who personally attended the inauguration ceremony of the offshore farm gave the officials, technicians and employees the instructions to revitalize offshore aquaculture by drawing on the good experience gained in the first year’s sea farming and to continue to play the vanguard role in transforming the structure of the fishing industry on this basis.

The Sinpho City Party Committee pressed ahead with the organizational and political work for bringing about a rich scallop harvest this meaningful year when the Ninth Party Congress is to be held.
