Who Are Owners of New Houses?

Recently lots of modern and cultural houses have been built across the country.

All of them are cultural dwellings built at the state’s expense including Mirae Scientists Street, Ryomyong Street as well as Songhwa and Hwasong streets boasting of a peculiar beauty of architecture of the capital city of Pyongyang and rural houses in regions preserving the characteristics of regions.

Then who are owners of those wonderful houses?

The principle of housing allocation of the Law of the DPRK on House Maintenance stipulates that dwelling houses should be preferentially provided to heroes, war veterans, honoured disabled soldiers, demobilized officers, teachers, scientists, technicians, meritorious persons, labour innovators, and families with triplets and many children.

It also stipulates that the state allocates houses, fully furnished with ample conditions for rest, to working people in difficult and labour-consuming sectors in consideration of their convenience.

In accordance with the principle which thoroughly embodies the people-oriented character, ordinary workers who devote all to the society and collective are provided with nice houses free of charge in our country.

The Taephyong area, where new houses were built under the loving care of the Party, is called "workers’ village", "farmers’ village" by people as the owners of those houses are mostly ordinary workers and farmers.

The owners of the luxury houses in Kyongru-dong on the picturesque bank of the Pothong River are ordinary working people like the workers of power stations, weavers and builders.

The working people are enjoying a new civilization and a new life, and their happy laughter is growing louder day by day in every nook and corner of the country.

People’s voices of gratitude to the mother Party and cheers for the Workers’ Party of Korea resound throughout the country.

Invariable is our Party’s policy to fully satisfy the ever-increasing cultural and emotional demands of the people by building new streets, villages and architectural groups one after another that are suited to the civilization level of the times.

Indeed the reality in which ordinary people become owners of modern houses and all social welfare is provided to the people more vividly shows the people-oriented character of our state which serves the people.
