Keeping Difficult Post Generation after Generation with Patriotism

Three Patriotic Builder Brothers

There are three builder brothers who have worked devotedly for ten-odd years following their father who had dedicated all his life to the construction sector at the Kumyagang Hydroelectric Power Construction Company.

They are Sok Won Chun, head of the placing workshop, Sok Won Guk, a mixer of the mixing workshop, and Sok Won Hak, a concrete placer of the placing workshop.

Their father was a passionate person making tireless efforts with the pride in doing worthwhile thing for the country and people in the eyes of the brothers since they were young. Such devoted figure of their father remained unchanged though years passed and he took on a new office.

As they grew up seeing such excellent father, they decided to become a builder rather than choosing another job after they were discharged from the military service.

Since then Sok brothers have been working at their father’s workplace, helping and leading each other.

In particular, Sok Won Chun has devoted efforts to various construction projects including the construction of the Anbyon Youth Power Station, the Kumyagang Army-People Power Station and Ryomyong Street and in those days he was greatly honoured to have a souvenir photo taken with the peerlessly great men on several occasions.

Sok Won Guk and Sok Won Hak have grown up to be innovators and treasures of the workshop in the course of doing several good deeds for the society and collective while presenting new technical innovation proposals and bringing up newcomers on their own accord.

Officials and employees of the station highly praise them who are keeping their post regarding the work to create the country’s wealth as the biggest happiness and pride, saying that they are true patriots.

The Most Worthwhile Choice

It has been twenty years since Sin Hye Ok, a worker of the Kangwon Provincial Urban Construction Brigade, began working at major construction sites in the province following the suit of her parents.

It is easier said than done for a woman to work at the windy construction sites for tens of years.

She had so many difficulties in life and sometimes suffered heartbreaks.

Nevertheless, she still regards the choice she made as the most proud and worthwhile.

It is because she holds dear the words her parents, who had spent their whole life at the construction brigade, used to say to her:

The job of us, builders, who erect wonderful creations with their hands to bring about dazzling changes to the homeland, is the most worthwhile, indeed.

That’s why she kept the unusual pride and honour of being a builder deep in her heart and faithfully did her part in major construction projects in the province including the construction of power stations and dwelling houses.

She also devotes pure sincerity to the improvement of dietary life of builders.

She still works by the sweat of her brow in the construction project the brigade is engaged in.

Unusual Pride of Forest Inspector

Ri Chung Hyok, head of the Ponggang Forest Inspection Branch under the Orang County Forest Management Station, is a diligent worker who is leaving traces of pure conscience to keep the mountains of the motherland beautiful.

His family members, working as forest inspectors for three generations, have taken care of countless trees for several decades.

To plant and take good care of trees does not pay off in a short period nor get much public acknowledgement.

However, Ri Chung Hyok’s grandfather and father used to get as happy as when they were witnessing the sound growth of their offspring whenever the mountain grew greener and the forest got thicker thanks to their sweats and efforts.

After his military service, he became a forest inspector with a firm resolve to work faithfully like his grandfather and father.

For the past 10-odd years, he has pushed forward with both afforestation and forest protection in the sector in his charge.

Last year, he secured over 100 000 tree saplings needed for spring tree planting and did his best to increase the rooting rate of the planted trees.

He still takes good care of the forest with utmost sincerity.
