That day, he was so pleased that the comprehensive development of regions was adopted as the most important political task of the Party and the state and that its brilliant entities sprang up.
Noting that the inauguration ceremonies for the regional-industry factories took place one after another in ２０ cities and counties including Songchon and Jaeryong counties as a fruition of sincere efforts rendered for the people in the previous year, he said:
This is an auspicious event of the whole country that gives great pleasure to the people who have started the worthwhile journey in the new year.

Temperature of Water He Personally Estimated

Going round various production rooms of the factory, the respected General Secretary also dropped in at the shower room.
Looking round with satisfaction the interior of the shower room which was smartly arranged, he approached where the tap was, turned it on and personally examined the water temperature.
A little cold water, which had been left in the pipe, ran from the tap at first, then soon it got warm.
He instructed the officials to make sure that the hot water came out of the tap as soon as it was turned on.
Little as the cold water was, he paid deep attention to it lest our people should feel any inconvenience.
Indeed his love for the people is attentive and warm.
His instructions that day served as a significant occasion that made officials harden their determination to constantly strive to do good thing for the people as much as possible, keeping deep in mind the noble outlook on the people of the peerlessly great man.
