On Occasion of 80th Anniversary of Working People’s Organizations Publishing House

The Working People’s Organizations Publishing House, which has fulfilled the honourable mission it has assumed before the times and the revolution in educating and training the broad masses into genuine communists and revolutionaries, greeted the ８０th anniversary of its founding.

The ８０-year course of the publishing house since it was founded was the proud days in which it was strengthened and developed into a comprehensive working people’s organizations publishing base under the energetic leadership of the peerlessly great men.

President Kim Il Sung gave birth to the work of creating revolutionary popular publications since the early days of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and paid deep attention to the work of publishing mass organization’s organs after the liberation of the country.

The President gave precious instructions for the trade union, a mass-based political organization of the working class, to issue an organ and personally entitled it.

The first publication of "Workers Newspapers" was a great event in which the working class of new Korea came to have its revolutionary publication for the first time and a historic occasion heralding the building of the working people’s organizations publications.

The President took measures to launch a newspaper of farmers to educate them in a revolutionary way.

He saw that a magazine was printed so as to bring up all women across the country into women revolutionaries pushing one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot and personally gave it the name of the "Korean Women" in that our women should display their names to the whole world.

Working people’s organizations media has greeted an important turning phase, in which it is strengthened and developed into the revolutionary media of the leader under the wise guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The Chairman took a revolutionary measure to set up the working people’s organizations publishing house by amalgamating the publishing houses belonging to various working people’s organizations and made sure that the activities of the media were done under the unified guidance of the Party.

When the issue of enacting the founding day of the publishing house arose, the chairman took a benevolent measure to set February ９, １９４６, when the "Workers Newspapers" was first published under the attentive care of the president, as the founding day of the publishing house.

In the new era of Juche revolution the publishing house has greeted a new heyday of its development.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, in his historical letters sent to conferences of working people’s organizations, gave instructions as to the activities of working people’s organizations media to provide a precious milestone in the course of development of the publishing house.

He paid deep attention to the work of the publishing house and guided the publication schedule every year not to speak of orientation of editing and publishing.

Officials, journalists and editors of the publishing house who have greeted the ８０th anniversary of its foundation realize once again the immutable truth that not only yesterday and today of the working people’s organizations publishing house but also its future to be rosier will be guaranteed as there is the wise leadership of the Party.

The working people’s organizations publishing house will invariably cover the proud road in the future, too, as it did for the past ８０ years true to the Party’s intention.
