Main Contents of Revolution
In December last the respected General Secretary
Looking up to the respected General Secretary who was so pleased, saying that the residents in the county would rejoice at the inauguration of the Kangdong County Leisure Complex which was built as a multi-functional base for cultural life, officials were wrapped in great emotion.
That day the General Secretary gave a meaningful instruction that the revolution doesn’t mean merely material transformation or creation of material wealth, adding that it constitutes the basic contents of the revolution to bring up the people to be powerful ones possessed of revolutionary ideological consciousness, versatile knowledge and high level of culture.
Then he emphasized that sustained great efforts should be directed to the work for transforming the ideological consciousness of regional people and bringing them up to be creative ones while building up modern regional-industry factories and bases for cultural life.
His instruction that day was noble one that enlightened the officials on the fact that the economic growth and the increased military strength are of weighty significance, yet what is more important and powerful is the spiritual strength of the people, the motive force, and the preparedness of the politico-ideological force.
That day the officials keenly realized the noble intention of the great father that the true value of the regional-industry revolution should be verified not only in creating material wealth but also in transforming the ideological consciousness of officials and working people in keeping with the demand of the new era.
Big Step Forward towards Future
Our people still recollect with deep emotion each paragraph of the significant speech the respected General Secretary made at the conference in celebration of the ８０th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League in January this year.
He said:
Linking the proud past of our state with its glorious present and building a rosier future by wonderfully preparing the next generation who will carry forward the baton of the revolution--this is the historic exploits and victory of the Korean youth movement, which cannot be compared with anything else nor achieved by anyone else.
The sturdy growth of young people is one of the core aims for the state development our Party wants to attain in the present struggle, as well as a big step forward towards the future.
This meaningful instruction reflects his noble intention to vigorously carry forward the eternal victory of the revolution by bringing up the youth to be stalwart successors to the revolution.
The respected General Secretary, whenever he had an opportunity, has boldly tasked the youth league with large projects, saying that his intention to struggle to attain such an ambitious goal in the present situation is just for the sake of our young people and in doing this, he believes in their ardent aspiration and unquenchable strength.
When he inspected the construction site of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, he warmly said that he made the first visit to the construction site of this farm at the outset of the new year because with the gigantic construction struggle to transform this part of the country progressing further, he felt it more valuable and laudable than anything else that our young people and soldier-builders are growing beyond recognition day after day.
The sturdy growth of young people is a big step forward towards the future!
Through his meaningful instructions, all the people across the country are more firmly convinced of the prosperous tomorrow which will be brought earlier by dynamic footsteps of youth.
