Then and there, a senior official of the State Planning Commission was going to pass the separately-bound order list without explanation as the President had already seen it several times and the officials concerned were also aware of it.
At that time, the President pointed out that sundry goods constituted one of the most important issues in people’s life and urged him to slowly read down the list aloud without leaving even a single kind out.
The list, made under the attentive guidance of the President who had paid deep attention to the problem of daily necessities to be used by the people and had taught about the varieties one by one, consisted of as many as 206 kinds of sundry goods.
Keenly feeling the fatherly love of the President, the official read down the kinds reflected in the order list one by one aloud.
Though he had already seen the list several times and given relevant instructions, the President once again wrote down the list of sundry goods one by one.
Presently, when the official finished reading, the President rose from his seat.
Looking around the participants wrapped in emotion, the President suggested that all of them should decide on the production plan of sundry goods of the year by raising hands as the production of sundry goods was an issue our Party defined and pressed ahead with as a revolutionary task, and raised his right hand before anybody else.
To attach more significance to the decision, he suggested warmly applauding it and became the first to clap his hands.
That day, the President earnestly said that the implementation of the production plan of the sundry goods must be reviewed in front of the people based on their estimation.
This is just one of many touching stories about great loving care of the President for the people.
