In Days of Creating Atmosphere of Giving Importance to Education
Daily Life Itself into Process of Learning and Experience Accumulation
One day in February 2017, the respected General Secretary
Enjoying a bird’s eye view of the picturesque panorama of the school, he said with satisfaction that the newly-built school made really a good appearance.
Accompanying officials were also greatly impressed with the school which was fully equipped with all conditions needed for study and living of orphans.
Going round various parts of the school in pleasure, the General Secretary gave detailed instructions as regards the issues of orphans’ education and edification. All of a sudden he asked an official whether there were arranged cleaner compartments.
When he had visited Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans a few months before, he saw that orphans were provided with cleaning things, thus enabling them to clean the classrooms and sections under their charge by class.
After being reported by the official that there were arranged cleaner compartments on each floor, and so were cleaning tools, the respected General Secretary warmly said that classrooms should also be furnished with cleaning things such as brooms, dustpans, mops and dustclothes to have the students clean their classrooms with their own hands.
Officials fell deep in thought.
They keenly felt his noble intention to let orphans get valuable experiences for the sound growth through the process of keeping their school neat and tidy with their own hands since their childhood.
The General Secretary taught that the school should ensure orphans’ daily life becomes the process of learning and experience accumulation for them.
That day the officials once again realized that it was not the only expression of love to just dress up the orphans and putting them forward, and that they can bring up the orphans to be competent talents of the country when they make exact demand on them to let them stand on their own feet.
Goal He Taught on Spot
One day in August, 2024, the respected General Secretary visited the April 25 Hostel to learn about the preparations for the education of pupils from the flood-hit areas.
Looking round with satisfaction the classroom of 2-1class of primary school pupils, he said with a broad smile on his face that the classroom was arranged well and that it was quite unbelievable that the class had originally been a room of the hostel.
Casting a smile upon the looks of pupils, he ardently said that in new school uniforms they all looked smart and that there was no difference between them and those of the capital city.
Looking up to the General Secretary who had taken preferential measures unprecedented in the history of the country for the children and pupils of flood-hit areas and was devoting efforts even on the spot, the officials were deeply moved.
That day the General Secretary also dropped in at the classroom of junior middle school pupils and gave detailed instructions in regard to the overall education of the country.
He clearly indicated immediate tasks for turning our country into a country of education, ways for carrying them out and long-term goals as well as the issue of production of school fixtures and school things.
Then he said to the accompanying officials that it is his will to build a state which gives the most importance to education and is most advanced in education in the world.
Bearing deep in their minds the meaningful instruction of the General Secretary, the officials pledged to fully discharge their responsibility and duty in turning the country into a developed country in education, a talent power as soon as possible, true to his intention.
