Enlarged Meeting of National Sports Guidance Committee Held in DPRK

The ７９th enlarged meeting of the National Sports Guidance Committee took place on Friday.

The meeting was chaired by Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, who is chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee.

Present there were Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission, and Ri Ju Myong, vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, who are vice chairmen of the National Sports Guidance Committee, and members of the National Sports Guidance Committee and senior officials of the sports-sponsoring organizations.

The meeting reviewed the work done by the members of the National Sports Guidance Committee and senior officials of the sports-sponsoring organizations in the first quarter of this year, and discussed the direction of their future work.

Ri Il Hwan stressed the need for the members of the National Sports Guidance Committee and senior officials of the sponsoring organizations to study in depth and thoroughly implement the planned work for implementing the Party’s policy on sports and timely resolve the problems arising in it.

Then the participants watched a video showing the successes made in the field of sports last year.
