On the occasion of May Day, international holiday of working people in the world, our people impressively recollect touching stories associated with May Day conveying the loving care shown by the peerlessly great men.

President Kim Il Sung put forward the popular masses, who had been subjects of exploitation and oppression, as master of the country, and saw that a meaningful meeting for commending working people first in the history of our country took place on the occasion of the first May Day after the liberation of the country.

The President called an official to discuss about the commendation ceremony and stressed the need to put forward, considerately treat in society and highly appreciate the working people who honestly strive for prosperity and development of the country.

So, the commendation ceremony took place with splendor on the first May Day after the liberation amid full excitement and emotion of the country.

Thanks to the great trust and loving care of the President, our ordinary working people launched the labor hero movement in the first period of state building and brought about the Chollima era startling the world people after the Fatherland Liberation War to record eye-opening creations and miracles in history.

Chairman Kim Jong Il who inherited the noble intention of the President bestowed ardent loving care and deep trust upon the working people always mixing himself among them.

For example, on May Day in ２００９, the Chairman invited working people in the major sectors of national economy to Pyongyang and enjoyed together with them the evening gala of fireworks, celebration performance given by the State Merited Chorus and the revolutionary opera "The Flower Girl" and provided a grand banquet for them.

Now the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un bestows great love upon the working people like the President and the Chairman did and our working class glorify their worthwhile life.

The employees of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill impressively remember the banquet for workers on May Day in ２０１４ provided by the General Secretary who spares nothing for our working people.

A few days before May Day that year, the General Secretary went round the Workers’ Hostel of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill.

After going round the hostel with satisfaction, the General Secretary warmly suggested holding a grand banquet for workers in celebration of May Day and asked officials to congratulate the working people on behalf of himself.

In consequence, a grand banquet was held at the Workers’ Hostel, workers’ palace.

The working people only in our country in the world lead a worthwhile life fully displaying independent dignity under the loving care of the peerlessly great men.
