Referring to the good wheat crop across the country that year, the General Secretary said with satisfaction that even those farms whose wheat yield had been poor in the past reaped a rich harvest per hectare in some fields.
Looking up to the General Secretary who was wearing a broad smile as if he was picturing a bumper harvest in every field of the country, the officials were greatly moved.
Not only a few regions and certain farms but lots of units across the country fulfilled wheat production plan and high-yield cities, counties, farms and work-teams rapidly increased.
Such proud success was, indeed, precious fruition brought about by the great efforts and energetic leadership of the respected General Secretary who took every measure, caring so much for the issue of wheat farming.
He said that the good wheat crop that year was attributable to the fact that the farmers buckled down to the farming with keen interest in it, and that definite changes were made in farmers’ understanding of wheat farming.
He added with confidence that a breakthrough in implementing the new programme for the rural revolution in a new era will be made if farmers continue to buckle down to wheat farming.
Listening to his words, officials pictured beautiful appearance of the socialist countryside in which a new history of "gold plains" will be carried on year after year under the wise leadership of the General Secretary.

One day in January, ２０２４, the respected General Secretary visited the Farm Machine Exhibition.
On display at the venue of the exhibition were more than hundreds of kinds of farm machines designed and manufactured in cooperation with the Agricultural Commission and relevant fields, including various kinds of tractors, rice-transplanters, unmanned helicopters for agriculture, wheat and barley planters and mobile combined maize threshers.
What he put main stress on while looking round exhibited farm machines one by one was the issue related to the Farm Machine Institute which plays an important role in laying new foundation of the farm machine industry.
Saying that the Farm Machine Institute should be built well, the General Secretary noted that the institute plays an important part in implementing the new programme for the rural revolution in the new era set forth by the Party.
In fact he had given precious instructions as regards the institute whenever opportunity arose.
In addition, he paid deep attention to the issues as to the remodeling and modernization of the institute and the site of the institute to be newly built, and took benevolent measures.
Looking around the officials lost in thought, the General Secretary expressed his determination to newly build the Farm Machine Institute wonderfully and taught that the institute should solve all technical problems arising in not only manufacturing farm machines but implementing rural mechanization.
Looking up to the General Secretary who indicated even the mission of the institute, the officials kept deep in their mind his noble intention to bring about a new turn in the farm machine industry as soon as possible by bolstering up the Farm Machine Institute.
