In June ２０１５, the respected General Secretary gave field guidance at a farm in Sadong District, Pyongyang Municipality.
Going round different parts of the farm together with an official of the farm, the General Secretary came to know about the patriotic deed of an official who dedicated his sincerity to remodeling the farm.
Being briefed on him from the official of the farm, the General Secretary expressed great satisfaction, saying that he, too, knew well about that official.
As for that official, he has been covering the road of patriotism for tens of years succeeding his father who had devoted all to the country.

In October ２０２０, the respected General Secretary visited Hoechang County.
He said to a senior official of the county that he was so pleased to see thick woods of roadside mountains on his way of field guidance at the county and that the county did well the afforestation.
Actually on his way to the county, the respected General Secretary had his car run slowly and sometimes halted so that he could enjoy the view of the county’s mountain ranges thickly covered with trees.
Then he had said to the accompanying officials that the work for the land and environment protection should be conducted as Hoechang County did and the county managed well the road and built well the retaining wall by the roadside, adding that the county’s experience should be given wide publicity so as to make all cities and counties learn from it.
Looking at the officials, he warmly instructed that Hoechang County has lots of patriots, highly appreciating that only patriots could do such things.
The respected General Secretary kindled the flames of the mass movement for afforestation of the country and clearly indicated the ways for forest recovery visiting different tree nurseries across the country.
He learns about the tree planting and gives precious instructions on afforestation wherever he visits.
Indeed, the success the county achieved was unthinkable apart from the painstaking efforts made by the respected General Secretary to turn all the mountains of the country into golden and treasured ones with green forests.
