However, he unfolded such a grand plan in severe conditions and environment, so eager to provide our people with places for a happy living.
Consequently, an operation was launched to build flats in the Sopho area as well as several other areas in Pyongyang and an architectural formation plan for a new modern street was completed.
One day in October, ２０２２, the respected Comrade General Secretary appreciated that the architectural formation plan was made nicely and stressed the need to build more flats in the street by focusing all efforts and that, with the modern street completed, too, our capital city would be completely face-lifted.
Cherishing a desire to turn our capital city into an ideal city of the people where new socialist life and civilization are brought into bloom, the respected Comrade General Secretary, at the ６th Plenary Meeting of the ８th Party Central Committee held in December that year, stressed the need to build another new street in the Sopho area in addition to the construction of １０ ０００ flats at the second stage in the Hwasong area.
Indeed, the large-scale construction which was conducted in the Sopho area apart from the second-stage construction in the Hwasong area was a manifestation of the noble outlook on the people of the respected Comrade General Secretary who spares nothing for the people, putting it forward as the top priority to realize the people’s demands and interests.
