Sincerity of Relieving Her of Inmost Shadow

Not long ago, Kim Kyong Sil, living in Hadan-dong No. １ of Sinuiju City, sent us a letter conveying a touching story.

It was about the deeds of Kang Yun Sok, chairman of a sub-primary youth league committee of the Sinuiju Orphanage.

In fact, Kim had inmost pains for her disabled children.

Kang and his wife who came to know about this have visited her often for the past four years like real relatives.

In those days, they often traveled a long distance to secure medicinal materials good for Kim’s children and gave encouragement and strength to them whenever they got weak because of their physical conditions.

Whenever Kim’s family appreciated his sincerity, Kang told them he wished for nothing more if her family members lived cheerfully in good health.

That’s why Kim, at the end of her letter, expressed her determination to keep supporting the army in order to repay the benevolence of our system where everyone forms a large family and shares happiness and pains together.

Through a touching story reflected in a woman’s letter, we could feel the genuine features of a harmonious and warm socialist large family full of love and obligation.

For Family of an Ordinary Worker

Choe Sang Chol, a worker of the Songhwa Construction Company of the Chongryu Construction Management Bureau under the Pyongyang Construction Commission, is used to say a story.

The story goes as follows.

It was when Choe’s wife, who had been troubled with health problem, was taken to Kim Man Yu Hospital in critical conditions.

The hospital held a consultative meeting as soon as the patient arrived and launched the round-the-clock treatment to bring her back to life.

Even after she turned the corner, medical workers continued to devote all their sincerity to her.

Not only medical workers but also officials and employees of the company where Choe was working frequented the hospital with materials for tonics they prepared with sincerity to encourage his wife.

Lots of people in Ryokpho District including inhabitants of his neighbourhood unit and officials in the district paid deep attention to his family.

Thanks to sincerity of such benevolent people, Choe’s wife rallied day by day.

The sincerity those people devoted for the family of an ordinary worker can be witnessed only in our society in which all the people form a harmonious family.

On Day of Triplets’ Returning

One day in February last a village in Wonsa-ri, Ongjin County, was in a festive mood from the early morning upon the news that triplets, who were born in Pyongyang Maternity Hospital four years ago and grew up at the Haeju Baby Home, were coming back home.

People who had congratulated the couple of Ku Ho Gyong and Ri Hyo Sim, saying that the triplets’ birth is a matter for congratulation for all of the people in the village, went to the triplets’ house.

Among them were officials in the ri and farmers. They were not the only ones.

Officials and employees in several units of the county including the county people’s committee and the materials supply station for children at nurseries and kindergartens in the county also visited the house of triplets with daily necessities they prepared with sincerity.

They said to the parents of the triplets who shed tears of gratitude to the sincerity of lots of people that it is the Party’s intention to take good care of the life of triplets, treasure of the country, and encouraged them to bring up the children well.

Seeing the looks of the people who were having a pleasant time with their children, the couple keenly felt that our socialist system is the best in the world and pledged to bring up the triplets to be reliable pillars of the country.
