DPRK Player Wins Three Gold Medals in 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships

DPRK player Kim Il Gyong won three gold medals in the women’s ５８kg category of the ２０２６ Asian Weightlifting Championships on May １３.

She took the first place in snatch, clean and jerk and total respectively by lifting １０５kg in snatch (new Asian record), １２５kg in clean and jerk and ２３０kg in total.

Meanwhile, in men’s ６５kg category, Pak Myong Jin bagged silver medals in clean and jerk and total, and a bronze medal in snatch.
