Story Told by Official of Pyongyang Old People’s Home

Not long ago we visited the Pyongyang Old People’s Home.

It was right the lunch time when we entered the restaurant.

An official of the old people’s home thoughtfully said that every dish the aged have is associated with touching stories of love.

It happened on November 30, 2018 when the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un gave field guidance at the January 8 Fishery Station.

That day he personally boarded a fishing vessel giving out a strong smell of fishes.

Looking at the mountains of fish in the hold, he expressed great pleasure.

He wore a broad smile after looking round freezing warehouses one by one and earnestly said to the officials that those fish blocks filled at the freezing warehouses reminded him to supply more fish to orphans and the aged of the old people’s homes.

Officials were deeply moved.

The respected Comrade General Secretary was so much worried about the supply of fish to orphans and the aged of old people’s homes that he even calculated in person what quantities of fishes are required yearly to provide 300 grams of fish to each of them a day.

Under the benevolence of the respected Comrade General Secretary every freezing chamber of the baby homes, orphanages, orphans’ primary and secondary schools and old folks’ homes across the country became fully loaded with fishes.

Nevertheless, he took measures for increasing daily fish supply in order to make dietary life of orphans and the aged in old people’s homes more affluent.

That day the respected Comrade General Secretary warmly said to the officials that they should know well why he cared so much for the issue of fish supply to orphans and the aged of old people’s homes and that the greatest sorrow for the orphans of the baby homes, orphanages, orphans’ primary and secondary schools and the aged of old folks’ homes is the one over being orphans and having no one to look after them, adding that the Party should relieve them of that sorrow.

Indeed, thanks to the warm and attentive love of the great father, orphans and the aged of old people’s homes across the country enjoy a blessed life full of vigor, hopes and optimism.
