The Regional Development ２０×１０ Policy which reflects the theory that a country which is strengthened from the bottom on to the top is a socialist state idealized by our Party in the clearest way!
As a giant tree has to take deep roots in order to rise up high, so a state must have a firm foundation to make steady dynamic progress.
The foundation lies in the development of regions.
The new regional development policy set forth by our Party is an outstanding strategy for guaranteeing the victory of socialism in a more scientific way by making it possible to fully embody the intrinsic requirements of our-style socialism whose essential purpose is to make everyone live an equally affluent life.
It is also a revolutionary state-building strategy which guarantees the solidity and sustainable development of the self-supporting economy through the development of regions which comprise the main foundation and a vast sphere of economic development.
Truly a gigantic and challenging task was the new regional development policy on raising on one stage the basic material and cultural living standards of the people in all cities and counties in ten years by keeping hold on the construction of modern regional industry factories in ２０ counties every year as an unerring policy task and carrying it out successfully.
Worse still, we were faced with the hostile forces’ moves getting ever more vicious and serious natural disasters.
In such a condition, no one could dare unfold another front of regional development.
However, the respected Comrade General Secretary made a bold decision to bring about a new era of regional development in order to let all the people who firmly trusted and faithfully followed our Party alone even in hardship fully enjoy the greatest happiness and civilization to the envy of the world people.
In December ２０２４, the respected Comrade General Secretary saw that the １１th Plenary Meeting of the ８th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea discussed and decided that the Party’s new regional development policy formally include the construction of advanced public health facilities, scientific, educational and leisure facilities and grain management facilities in parallel with that of regional-industry factories.
Thanks to his great devotion, ４０ cities and counties have already witnessed the brilliant entities of our Party’s regional development policy.
Our people marvel at the eye-opening transformation in which industrial foundations are to be established and even facilities for public health, science and culture and grain management are to be built throughout the country.
Indeed, our Party’s new regional development policy is an original state-building strategy, the one and only in the history of world politics, given birth by the greatness of the respected Comrade General Secretary, the peerless patriot and prominent leader.
