Sincerity of a Woman Teacher
On the significant day of April 15 last, there could be seen a woman teacher shedding tears with four students joining the Korean Children’s Union in her embrace at the courtyard of the hall of culture in Kwail County.
The innocent faces of the children shone with boundless joy and happiness.
An opening ceremony of the school had been held on the playground of Sinsong Primary School in Kwail County on April 1 two years before.
While putting flowers on children’s chest, Kim Ryon Ju, all of a sudden, stood still in front of a student.
He was a disabled child with arm and leg disturbance.
His grandmother who was supporting her grandson said to Kim that she helped her grandson to attend the ceremony as he was eager to wear a new school uniform though he wasn’t in such a condition as to attend the school.
That moment Kim was greatly moved.
She thought that there should not be a single child with worries among our children who grow up happily wearing school uniforms provided by our Party.
Shortly afterwards, parents of three students with disabilities came to see Kim after hearing the news of Ri Jong Do who entered the school.
So Kim took charge of them, too. She sometimes felt some apprehension that she wouldn’t be able to take care of and teach them better.
It was the Party organization of the school that encouraged her, saying that nothing would be impossible for her who is a Party member demobilized from the military service when she undertakes the responsibility of educating the future of the country in the spirit of defending the country’s defence line.
She tried to become their mother before being a teacher.
She shed no little tears during the days of carrying them on her back from school to hospital.
There is also such a story which all the teaching staff of the school and parents of students still recollect with deep emotion.
One day in June last year, a conspicuous race was held at the playground of the school toward the end of the school sports around noon.
Kim ran the race with four disabled students.
She was too well aware that it was their wish to run even a step forward though they could barely walk.
Teachers as well as students all ran the race in unity with Kim and the disabled students.
With such ardent love, affection and trust of the collective, Kim devoted herself to taking care of the students.
It is a clear testimony to her love and passion that four students unanimously wrote down in their compositions and diaries that Kim was equal to their mother.
Our society becomes more beautiful thanks to such laudable persons who devote their all to the society and collective regarding others’ pains as their own.
