Our Party’s Revolutionary Slogan "We Serve the People!"
The historic Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea underlined the need to invariably hold high the idea of believing in the people as in Heaven.
It reflects our Party’s permanent requirement of holding fast to the revolutionary Party climate of regarding the service to the people as the starting point and absolute and invariable principle of Party building and activities.
The slogan "We Serve the People!" pulsates with our Party’s will for orienting all the affairs of revolution to promoting the people’s wellbeing and bringing the people’s laughter and happiness into full bloom.
To our Party, people are Heaven and nothing is more important than the promotion of people’s wellbeing.
It is the unchangeable stand of our Party to provide the people with affluent and civilized living conditions and environment as early as possible.
The absolute service of our Party to the people has brought about a new era of great transformation when the people’s dreams and ideals are translated into reality.
Housing construction for providing the people with places for a happy living has been augmented year by year and housewarming ceremonies held nonstop in every nook and corner of the country.
Monumental entities conducive to the promotion of the people’s wellbeing have mushroomed in the course of a vigorous struggle for implementing the rural revolution programme in the new era, regional development policy and public health revolution.
Bases for cultural life have been built wonderfully and the aim and standard of creation set by our Party gets higher year after year to the great joy of our people.
All these successes and changes are a precious fruition of the devoted and active service of our Party which is eager to let our people live with nothing to envy at an earlier date.
The Ninth Party Congress discussed important issues for promoting the people’s wellbeing including those on transforming the capital city of Pyongyang into a magnificent city with an appearance as a world-class city and building regional-industry factories, hospitals and leisure complexes in ２０ cities and counties every year without fail.
As our Party is displaying a staunch practical ability, incessantly augmenting fighting realms for the people’s wellbeing and steadily setting higher aims, an ideal society where all the people will enjoy all good blessings of socialism will be built in a near future.
"We Serve the People!" is a revolutionary slogan which officials, faithful servants of the people, should keep as their lifetime motto.
Our Party demands that the officials aspire after the day when all the people will live in dreamlike happiness and make selfless efforts in the spirit of devotedly serving the people.
The sure guarantee for our officials to cover the road of making devoted efforts for the people invariably lies in following the lofty examples of selfless, devoted efforts for the people shown by the respected Comrade General Secretary
It is none other than the respected Comrade General Secretary who feels pride in making revolution in the people’s laughter and unfolds gigantic projects for the happiness of the people one after another, and even goes over a dangerous temporary bridge and travels on a perilous rubber boat in order to rid the people of their pains as soon as possible.
Only when all the officials keep pace with the respected Comrade General Secretary and hold up the people high and devote sincerity to them, can the dignity and prestige of our motherly Party be exalted higher.
All the officials should regard the slogan "We Serve the People!" as the guideline in their work and life and orient everything thoroughly to the promotion of the people’s wellbeing, thereby fulfilling their responsibilities and mission in the ongoing campaign for bringing earlier the people’s ideal society.
