New History of "Golden Mountains" Ushered in by Respected Comrade General Secretary with Noble Patriotic Devotion
A new history of "golden mountains" goes on in our country under the wise guidance of the great Party.
In the １０-odd years of forest restoration, our people not only learnt to plant and tend trees but also nurtured the spirit of loving the country and the future and acquired the faith that as they have the peerlessly great man, the present and the future of the beautiful country are guaranteed.
Forests are valuable resources of the country, the wealth to be handed down to posterity and an important means for protecting the land.
Full of pity that the forest resources shrank in bulk during the Arduous March, the respected Comrade General Secretary
On that unforgettable day, he called upon the whole Party, the entire army and all the people to turn out in the forest restoration campaign and indicated important guidelines for effecting a turn in afforestation, stressing that he would personally control the undertaking.
Great indeed are the pains he took and efforts he made to create the country’s wealth and secure the foundation for the happiness of posterity after setting forest restoration campaign as an important state affair and a strategic goal.
Once, he assigned provinces, cities and counties the task to include the creation of forests for raw materials of paper in the forest restoration plan.
Another year, he stressed the need to combine different species of trees as suited to the characteristics of relevant regions and taught that mountains can be greened and lots of chestnuts be harvested if chestnut trees are planted on hills.
In May ２０１９, the respected Comrade General Secretary told the senior officials of the Party Central Committee that it is good to create mixed forests like in mountains around Lake Suphung and that the forest management sector should produce tree saplings of good species and create mixed forests in all mountains.
Hence, an undertaking for producing and supplying tree saplings of specific species according to the management purpose of forests in relevant regions was launched across the country.
This served as another important occasion for surely guaranteeing a better future of green forests from the first process of afforestation.
This was not all.
One day several years ago, when a campaign for implementing the second-stage task of forest restoration was going on, the respected Comrade General Secretary met with officials and gave precious instructions as to turning all the mountains in the country into "golden" and "treasured" ones.
That day, he taught it is necessary to uphold the slogan of "Let us turn all mountains into useful golden ones!" in order to turn the bare mountains into ones of practical utility, not just into green ones.
Later on, the respected Comrade General Secretary taught to create mixed forests in a rational way, in detailed consideration of symbiosis relations of trees, meteorological and climatic conditions of relevant regions, soil conditions and the purpose of forest creation.
One July, he taught to plant lots of useful trees like fruit trees to turn all the mountains in the country into "golden" ones which make great contributions to the people’s living.
Thanks to his endless efforts, the forest restoration campaign is conducted on a large scale as a patriotic cause for the prosperity of all generations to come and all the mountains are being transformed into useful ones.
Indeed, all the successes achieved in forest restoration work is the precious fruit of the wise leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary who writes a new history of "golden mountains" with the loftiest patriotic devotion.
Our people, who have covered the path of devotion toward a more beautiful future of the country which will be thickly wooded, sharing the same patriotic will with the great Party Central Committee, are making confident strides forward for attaining the fighting goal of a new stage full of extraordinary preparedness.
