Our Party’s Steadfast Will―Rural Revolution Programme in New Era

Indicating Bright Way for Rural Development

The eighth term of the Party Central Committee, which opened up a new era of comprehensive state rejuvenation boldly braving all difficulties under the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un, shines as the period which brought about world-startling gigantic events and precious achievements on this socialist land.

Our people could bring about unprecedented epochal transformations in the countryside under such severe circumstances as they had the Party’s rural revolution programme in the new era indicating the shortcut to the future when the countryside will prosper.

The respected Comrade General Secretary put forward the rural revolution as the supreme task that our generation must shoulder and carry out without fail and has made strenuous efforts to open a new phase of the rapid development of rural communities.

The Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) held in December ２０２１ was recorded in history of the country as the historic one which declared the rural revolution programme in the new era for opening up a new heyday of our-style of socialist rural development.

Seeing through our revolutionary practice and the present situation in our rural communities when it presents itself as a mature requirement to wage the struggle for the overall development of socialism, the respected Comrade General Secretary set forth the rural revolution programme in the new era for brilliantly accomplishing our Party’s plan of rural construction in his historic speech "Let us open up a new great era of our style socialist rural development".

The fundamental aim and main content of the rural revolution programme in the new era are to completely eliminate the distinctions between the working class and peasantry and between towns and rural communities and build the ideal society for people by finally solving the peasant and agricultural problems.

The programme provides in a comprehensive and detailed way precious guidelines for putting the country’s agriculture on a definite upward stage and opening up a new great era of effecting drastic development of our-style socialist countryside by pushing forward the rural development under the uplifted slogan of "For New Victory of Socialist Rural Construction!"

In his report at the plenary meeting, saying that our Party’s goal for the socialist rural construction is to model all the rural communities across the country on the Juche idea and make them materially affluent, the respected Comrade General Secretary noted that targets to be attained in our-style rural development are to enhance the level of ideological awareness of agricultural workers, make a rapid development of agricultural workforce and bring about fundamental change in the living environment of the countryside.

The main task of the rural revolution programme in the new era is to prepare all the agricultural workers as rural revolutionaries, achieve sustained growth of agricultural production and transform the appearance and environment of the countryside by effectively waging the three revolutions.

The rural revolution programme in the new era set forth by the respected Comrade General Secretary is the revolutionary inheritance of the rural theses set forth by President Kim Il Sung and its development to a new, higher stage.

The rural revolution programme in the new era set forth at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK serves as a powerful weapon of practical significance in successfully implementing challenging and colossal tasks of rural construction in our country without a slightest mistake in the shortest span of time.

It is an immortal great programme which indicated the most correct path for solving the rural question once and for all as required by the comprehensive development of socialist construction and a banner of struggle guaranteeing the victorious advance in the great new era of our-style socialist rural development.

The rural revolution programme in the new era reflects the noble intention and will of the respected Comrade General Secretary to powerfully speed up rural revolution with confidence and optimism and thus turn all the farms in the country into socialist paradise wonderful enough to be proud of in the world and realize centuries-old desire and ideal of the people.

It is the crystallization of the great pains taken by the respected Comrade General Secretary who puts his heart and soul into glorifying socialist rural construction exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted themselves to turning our countryside into socialist fairyland, and making our people enjoy an affluent and civilized life to their heart’s content.

Thanks to his ardent desire, a new history of socialist rural construction began and a new era of comprehensive state rejuvenation has been ushered in.

Indeed, our Party’s new programme for rural revolution is great even in its birth and its implementation process and fruition will be grandiose and the future of the socialist countryside brought about by the immortal great programme rosier.
