Country Putting Forward Children as Kings
On the occasion of the June 1 International Children’s Day, our people are full of boundless gratitude to the most advantageous our style of socialist system which spares nothing for the rising generation, seeing the happy looks of our children who grow up happily with nothing to envy in the world.
Our country has put forward the issue of nursing and upbringing of children as an important state affair and paid deep attention to it.
The Law of the DPRK on the Nursing and Upbringing of Children was adopted at the Sixth Session of the Fifth Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK in April 1976.
With the adoption of the law which has it as a main content to train all the children, the future of the country, at state and social expense, the state bears all the expenses for building and managing the nurseries and kindergartens, and even the foodstuff for children.
The state has taught the children to have noble mentality and morality loving collective and comrades since their childhood and developed their talents according to their aptitudes.
It has also made children do physical training in a regular way according to their age and physique and conducted a systematic medical service.
Thanks to our Party’s ennobling love, the happy laughter of children is reverberating far and wide on this land.
The Sixth Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly held in February 2022 adopted the DPRK Law on Childcare reflective of our Party’s childcare policy for supplying all the children across the country with nourishing food including dairy products at the state’s expense and providing more improved conditions of bringing them up.
The DPRK Law on Childcare stipulates the system of producing and supplying nutritious foodstuffs for children and providing conditions of bringing them up.
Under the benevolent socialist system where children, the future of the country, are put forward as treasures of the country, our children grow up healthily to be future pillars of the country, singing the song "We Are the Happiest in the World".
