Children Are before and above People Our Party Upholds as Heaven
Our people greeted June １ International Children’s Day.
Experiencing the proud reality of our country which puts forward children as kings and provides them with the best things in the world before anyone else, our people recollect with deep emotion the ardent love of the respected Comrade General Secretary
It is just our country where supplying dairy products to children even in harsh circumstances is adopted as a policy and the warm love of the great farther is reflected in all things for the people not to mention children’s uniforms, schoolbags and notebooks.
Indeed, thanks to the respected Comrade General Secretary, the future of our country gets brighter.
Such a proud reality reminds our people of the meaningful words the respected Comrade General Secretary said in his letter to the participants in the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children’s Union.
He said, in his letter, that before the people and above the people whom our Party believes in as in heaven there stand our children.
In retrospect, a meeting of the Women’s International Democratic Federation held in November １９４９ discussed and decided the issue of instituting June １ as the International Children’s Day.
From １９５０, many countries in the world have celebrated June １ as the day of struggle for opposing reactionary policies of imperialism and all evils of the capitalism, defending peace and promoting children’s happiness and health.
Many years have passed since then, but the children issue still remains unsolved in lots of countries.
However, in our country proud scenes not to be witnessed in any other countries are being opened one after another thanks to the noble outlook on posterity of the great Party.
The proud reality of our country in which happy laughter and singing of the children ring out louder is the scene of love unfolded by the ardent affection of the respected Comrade General Secretary who makes great devotion for the bright future of the children, regarding them as priceless treasures and all hope and future.
The respected Comrade General Secretary is the benevolent father who takes warm care of all the children across the country and spares nothing for bringing them up to be future masters of the country.
Our people still remember the touching story of the first day of the year ２０１５ when the respected Comrade General Secretary visited the Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage.
He visited orphans as soon as he delivered the New Year’s address, keeping his promise to visit them on New Year’s Day.
He spent a long time together with orphans, listening to their dreams and prides, though time was very valuable for him.
That day he warmly said that the whole country will become bright only when happy laughter of the children is heard, adding that the laughter of the children, their song "We Are the Happiest in the World" will ring out louder on this land making the revolution.
It was just for the bright laughter of the children.
Our Party is the one making revolution and struggle for the rising generation and the future.
His meaningful words that it has to be the way of advance and development of our revolution to exert more sincerity to children even when the condition becomes worse and to take dynamic steps forward towards the future of communism with the might of that love was a powerful declaration which gives answer to the question of what makes our revolution emerge ever-victorious and what kind of great force drives it to boldly advance without the slightest vacillation despite many trials and hardships.
For beloved posterity!

Our great father cultivates the future of the country by devoting his all to the growth and happiness of the posterity with love for the children as his disposition.
He took measures for the production of children’s foodstuff, underscoring the need to boost the production of children’s foodstuff so as to show the hostile forces how the DPRK protects the children’s happy life and defends socialism.
He visited the tents, in which the flood victims were living temporarily, and showed warm love, instructing to provide the children in the flood-hit areas with the new clothes carried by his train.
He saw that wonderful cradles were built in all parts of the country for orphans, saying that orphans, too, are the successors to the Korean revolution and pillars of the future.
Endless are the stories about his affection, love and devotion for our children.
Indeed, thanks to the fervent love and warm care of the respected Comrade General Secretary who takes parental care of all the children and blesses their future, happy laughter of the children reverberates far and wide on this land.
Our people picture to themselves the rosier future through the happy laughter of the children.
