Benevolent Proposal He Made at Plenary Meeting of Party Central Committee
It was during the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
In the important concluding speech on the first agenda item, the respected Comrade General Secretary
Then he courteously proposed to the plenary meeting sending thanks in the name of the Party Central Committee to the exemplary agricultural officials, workers, scientists and technologists who greatly contributed to doing farming well despite the unfavorable conditions.
Upon the news, the whole country overflowed with excitement.
Thanks he proposed, this was indeed the eruption of the true feeling of the great father who always keeps the agricultural workers deep in his heart and values them.
It reflected the great trust and expectation of the peerlessly great man that our agricultural workers would fully display their spirit and mettle in the struggle for implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era.
His Request at Venue of Celebrations
On September ８, ２０２１, the respected Comrade General Secretary had a photo session with the labour innovators and merited persons who participated in the celebrations of the ７３rd founding anniversary of the DPRK and hosted a grand reception for them.
That day, the respected Comrade General Secretary called them beside him.
Bestowing great trust on them that they are outpost troops defending the socialist country, the respected Comrade General Secretary warmly requested that all the agricultural workers should defend the Party Central Committee and the revolution with grain production.
That day, he earnestly instructed them to inform farmers of his request for firmly defending the socialist country with increased grain production when they return to their farms.
His meaningful request reflected his encouragement to our agricultural workers to discharge their duty as masters in implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era by carrying out their assigned grain production plan without fail.
To Be Intelligent Workers Possessed of Modern Science and Technology
In January ２０２２, the respected Comrade General Secretary sent a historic letter to those attending the Ninth Congress of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK).
In the letter, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that UAWK organizations should train their members as intelligent workers, masters of rural rejuvenation, who are possessed of modern science and technology.
Then he emphasized that rural rejuvenation presupposes qualitative development of agricultural productivity, and a radical increase of agricultural production depends on the level of technical knowledge of agricultural workers.
He had already stressed on training agricultural workers as intelligent workers in the rural revolution programme in the new era.
However, he again clarified in the historic letter the shortcut to becoming genuine masters of the socialist countryside in the new era as the agricultural production success depends on the level of science and technology and the key to ensuring high and stable yield overcoming unfavorable weather conditions also lies in doing scientific farming.
It is the fruition of the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary who took pains for training agricultural workers as intelligent workers possessed of modern science and technology that the enthusiasm for equipping themselves with advanced scientific farming method are ever increasing among our agricultural workers and steady study and research have become the trend and way of life of the countryside.
Our Party’s Cherished Desire Reflected in Rural Civilization
One day in November ２０２１, the respected Comrade General Secretary gave field guidance at the Junghung Farm in Samjiyon City.
He took a seat in the ri cultural hall unreservedly and stressed to the officials that the focus of Party work should be put on remoulding the old and outdated conventions of rural people and training them as creators and enjoyers of modern civilization.
Teaching in detail about the issues related to ri Party work, the respected Comrade General Secretary warmly said that the secretaries of ri Party committees should decide correctly where to focus in order to conduct rural Party work well, our Party’s requirements is to make agricultural workers enjoy highly-civilized life in clean and cultural living environment and that it is just the long-cherished desire of the Party.
Listening to his precious instructions, the officials keenly realized once again that only when they remould the ideological consciousness of agricultural workers and make them enjoy highly-civilized life can our Party’s far-reaching plan for effecting an epoch-making change in the countryside be thoroughly implemented and all the agricultural workers across the country become rural revolutionaries.
