Schoolchildren’s Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites Begins in DPRK

Schoolchildren from across the DPRK started their study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu on the occasion of the ７０th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s start of the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

A kick-off meeting took place at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City on June １２.

The participants in the meeting laid a flower basket and bouquets at the statues of the great leaders and paid tribute to them.

Pak Myong Jin, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers stressed that the schoolchildren should learn from the steadfast revolutionary spirit and fighting spirit of the forerunners during their study tour and thus cultivate the firm will to bravely overcome difficulties and trials and establish a trait of always studying hard.

At the end of the meeting, the expedition group left for the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site.
