National Sci-tech Presentation in Railway Transport Sector

A national sci-tech presentation in the railway transport sector of the DPRK took place on June １１ and １２ under the sponsorship of the Korean Railway Transport Association under the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present at the presentation on the theme of "Developing new-type electric train and putting its normal operation on a scientific basis" were teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of the Railway Institute under the Ministry of Railways and Pyongyang University of Transport.

Papers, including rational designs of asynchronous traction motor of tourist train to be operated in the Samjiyon area and traction converter of energy-saving underground electric car, were highly appreciated for their great practical significance.

During the presentation, there was a lecture on the trend of the development of ground electric train.
